Wulfs got the victory they have long deserved after travelling to fellow strugglers Parkfield.
Wulfs were the better team in the first half with new signing Steve Jones hitting the post and also shooting just wide.
Jamie Taylor also tested the keeper with a fine header and had a shot cleared.
Parkfield only had two half chances after defensive errors but new keeper Matt Baker was able to stop both chances and also took too a little bit of Darren Sangha-esque. dribbling around forwards which wasn't good for the nerves. Wulfs started the second half at a good pace but were undone by a break away goal. The ball was crossed in for their forward to half volley home.
Wulfs promptly got it back level after Gary Dimmock strode out of defence a slotted a little pass through to Joe Nutting who finished well.
Phil Gardner was the saviour to stop Parkfield taking the lead again when he slid in and wrapped his foot around the ball just as the Parkfield player was about to slam home a certain goal. Gardner also came away with the ball a la Bobby Moore in the 1970 world cup game against Brazil.
Steve Jones got his debut goal when he calmly rounded the keeper after he had hustled the ball off a weak centre half who screamed 'He's fouled me ref' but, as he was 6ft 3", it was good to see the ref use common sense and let the goal stand.
Jamie Taylor then scored from a Gary Dimmock cross. I say scored, the keeper did help by catching the ball then throwing into the net but you take them every time.
Dan Plank, who had come on up front for the exhausted Steve Jones with the instruction to stop the defenders bringing the ball out, improved massively on last weeks debut by challenging for everything and causing panic in the Parkfield defence. He was Johnny on the spot when he side footed a cross from Tom Morgan into the bottom corner to make it four.
Well done to everyone involved. Old Wulf's Man o' the match: Tight with good performances from Steve Jones, Matt Gould and Jamie Taylor, but this week: Joe Nutting.
Final score: Parkfield Amateur 1 Old Wulfrunians 4.
